Took the family out here today. We brought our jogging stroller for the little one. It's a little difficult with it out here, but always love the sights.
Hathaway Preserve at Ross Run is a spectacular gorge with waterfalls, reef fossils, exposed bedrock and verical cliffs as high as 75 feet. On this terrain are mature oaks, some with trunks over 4 feet in diameter, as well as a diverse understory and a spectacular display of spring wildflowers. The Ross Run gorge is an impressive natural feature with uncommonly high geological, ecological, and aesthetic values.
Hathaway Preserve is very scenic; the main trail follows a stream cutting its way through ancient limestone beds toward the the Wabash River. Some of the views are spectacular as you look down from the heights along the trail. There is also a savannah trail rich in a variety of plants, flowers, and other vegetation.

Was really a wonderful surprise. Ready trekking for kids and some advanced trekking for the even better sites. Really enjoyed the time and so did the kiddos! Fish, crawdads, frogs, snakes, all came out to see us and kids loved it... And learned too!
Pretty cool plus they had blackberry bushes
